Exhibition
Both pioneers of the Dubai photographic scene, Daniel Cheong and Beno Saradzic are exhibiting a selection of 20 of their best Dubai pictures, often taken in the first or last moments of the day from dramatic viewpoints atop Dubai skycrapers or from a helicopter. No-one is better known and recognised than Daniel for his digitally blended mesmerizing rooftop pictures of the city, while Beno brings a constantly refreshed and personal variety of approaches to capture the city’s architectural majesty. The combination of their works in one place gives visitors a very unique and engaging experience.
Daniel Cheong
Originating from Mauritius and France, technology enthusiast and passionate photographer Daniel Cheong has over the years become an authority for ‘digital blending’ in Dubai, a photographic technique he uses to present an idealised and compelling version of true reality. Particularly famous for applying this technique to Dubai rooftop and foggy pictures, Daniel has authored many iconic Dubai pictures that are instantly recognizable.
Beno Saradzic
Slovenian born Beno Saradzic is a multi-specialist visual artist who made the UAE his home in the early 1990’s. Internationally awarded and Emmy nominated, Beno is known in professional circles as a film director and producer, editor, conceptual and pre-visualisation 3D artist, and photographer – among others. In UAE public circles, Beno attracted tremendous public attention in recent years through his virally shared Dubai and Abu-Dhabi time-lapse movies, and is increasingly know as a photographer successfully conveying his love for his host country through ambitious, unique and effective photo shots of the two cities.
